My Daughter saw a talk show when she was about 4 where little kids (w/Cancer) needed hair for wigs. She told me right then that she wanted to do that and she let her hair grow til I think she was 5 and then donated 18 inches of her long hair that went past her butt. She also did it again when she was 7. I was so proud of her. The newspapers did a huge article on her. She was nervous but after she did it she said she felt so proud of herself! I just think for a kid so young to see something like that and know right away that she planned on doing that was so big hearted! You alway's hear all the bad stuff our kids do but rarely the good things.
Tell me something that some1 did that really touched you. Young or old here's mine....?
I will tell you something that has just now touched me. A Mom that raised a daughter to be so kind and compassionate. Congratulations of being that wonderful Mom!

My son touched my heart the day he was born and has continued to ever since.
He had a stomach virus. I could not help him because if I get around someone that is blowing groceries I am right along there with them. He was on his own. Fourteen and strong.
I got the stomach virus! Why is it when we get sick it is so much worse than when they get sick?
Three o'clock in the morning and he has school the next day I am in the bathroom floor making a sorts of racket! He sits beside me on the floor and holds me and asks if there is anything he can do for me. I sank! I still sink when I think of the unconditional love he has for us, his parents!
Still does not change the fact that if he gets sick again he is on his own!
But I love him all the same!
It is nice to hear a question every once in a while from a parent that loves and cares for their children, instead of the children reaching out on here because they don't have that.
Best to you!

My daughter was 4 or 5...I took her to the store and she went and bought daffodils...another time she put her allowance into one of those donation boxes..and 4 people then put money in there also after they seen her do it...

when i was probably 11 years old I was riding my bike very fast down a very steep hill and my sandal fell off and fell in my bike spokes and I went flying over the front. I cracked my head open and I don't remember anything about it, but when i came to some lady, about 70 years old, maybe older, had carried me over to her yard and started to do first aid on me. she took me to the hospital and then called my mom, after they got my name and number which i guess took some time.
Years down the road I ended up becoming really good friends with her granddaughter, so I like to visit her with my friend. I bring her fruits and flowers occassionally. She helped me out when I maybe could have died, so I feel obligated to help her out now that she has cancer. I will always remember her.
