just got in 5th grade and everyone is in2 the new rage: PUBERTY!
#1 this one girl at my school is so freaken annoying!! she makes fun of the flat-chested kids (which im not flat) and heck- SHES FLAT! she claims 2 have gotten her discharge and yet she has no pubic hair pit hair flat chest is it still possible 2 even get ur period like that and shes only 10 (she just turned 10 a month ago)? i asked my mom shes not sure anyways, im still pretty sure shes lying.
#2 G0SSIP! my friends are gossiping, ALOT! and one thing is this one girl who said that this other girl has pit hair only becuase she has to much hormones
#3 IM GOING THRU IT, 2! i have no idea what 2 expect. when will i ge pit hair??!?!?! i have hairy legs (i do shave, dont get me wrong ;) and i have LOTS of pubic hair down there and i wear a 34a-36a and im 115 pounds and 5'1 BMI says im normal but i still look fat!!!!!!!!

I know people who have gotten their period at 8, and how do you know she's not got pubic hair? Or pit hair, maybe she shaves? Don't let her bug you, thats what she wants. Ew, why is she talking about discharge???
Gossip can be fun, spread rumours about people you hate.
Puberty can be a good thing, you're gonna look fat and weird, but so is everyone else, and things will even themselves out, just know when it's over, you'll forget what it was even like. I don't remember and it wasn't all that long ago.

horrible isnt it? dont worry, it gets a LOT easier by about 14-15 (even the bitching subsides a bit.) 10 seems a bit young for that girl to be getting her period. also its a bit sad for her to already be thinking about growing up like that.. just feel sorry for her, dont get worked up about it especially if it isnt directed at you.

yeah, you just have to deal. life sucks until you're about 20-21 and even then its iffy. don't listen to people who say teenage years are the best because they're the worst. you'll get through it, everyone does. just ignore that girl, she doesn't know what she's talkin about at all. she's too young to know anything. take care.

It's all "garbage", it serves NO USEFUL purpose.
You need to concentrate on "becoming" YOU!!! NOT someone else's "impression" of you, but the REAL YOU!!!!
Don't "play the game", be better than that. If you allow yourself to get sucked-in to all the body/bio-competitive "junk", you'll risk more than you know for an empty "image".
Be the best you, that YOU can be. YOU set the pace. YOU lead by "being you".

You are way too young to be on this board. You are supposed to be at least 13. And if you are 13 and in 5th grade, you need a lot more help than you will find here.

Everyone is different. If people approach you with gossip, you can silence them by saying "I haven't got time for this" or "What's good". Stick to talking about ideas and events. Also keep your conversations positive. When it comes to personal stuff, please confide in your mother, aunt, grandmother. Not the ones that gossip. If one thing I've learned in life its that "When people are talking to you about someone else, its only because there taking a break from talking about you to others." Its okay to keep your inner child, just remember how much fun you had when you used your imagination to play. I'm an artist so I keep that quality with me always. So, just learn how to take proper care of your body. Ibuprofen helps with mood swings when you have your period. It keeps you balanced. I love Elmo too. Keep yourself safe.

and if you think 5th graders are hormonal, just wait until you guys get a little older. you haven't seen ANYTHING yet.
about the whole getting your period thing: she might not be lying. i got my period when i was 10 years old and in 5th grade.
gossipping definitely does suck though =( and it ALL starts in 5th grade. just try to avoid it and you'll be okay.
