i can't stand not washing my hair everyday so I have to. it feels terrible if I don't wash my hair at the end of the day when i have been outdoors. lately, i've heard that it's bad for your hair so please help?

If your hair is naturally oily or if you get really sweaty that day, it's fine to shampoo your hair everyday. If it's not it would be better to use a milder shampoo and conditioner. Any kind that says "Everyday Use" would be fine.

Yes it is bad to wash your hair everyday. It may feel horrible when you dont wash it at first. But you will get use to it. Try skipping a day. You can always just rinse it out with no shampoo. But you should avoid use a blow dryer and any heat to your hair everyday as well.

washing your hair all depends on how oily it gets. if you do a lot of outdoor stuff that will make your hair get dirty real fast and you cant stand it then wash your hair everyday but it isnt recommended. try to see if you can at least wash your hair once a day as washing it everyday will ruin the hair.

I have wondered the same thing. Mine gets greasy if I don't. I think it depends on your hair type. Some are different than others. I really don't think its a big deal. I done it for a long time, my hair is pretty healthy, it must not be bad.

Yeah its bad.But what you can do is wash ur body everyday,but wash ur hair everyother day.w/ moisturizing shampoo/conditioner

It can be, but it also depends on your hair. Curly hair shouldn't be washed every day, the curls will get dry and brital. Straight hair probably every other day unless you use products that settle at your scalp and the outdoors makes it feel gross. I wash mine every other day unless I've used product that day. Try using a fresh hair extender or find a shampoo with moisture in it.

washin your hair everyday with shampoo is definetly bad..but not for everybody ..if your hair gets set by doin so then proceed cos ............... thats the way YOU'RE BUILT...(gentle shampoo good idea)

it depends on your hair. you could end of sucking the moisture right out of your hair. however you don't need to wash your hair everyday. you could. but you don't have to. i wash my hair once a week. my hair doesn't stink, have flakes, or is dirty.

It depends - I have to wash mine almost every day because I'm very athletic, and not washing your hair after practice is definitely not considered a good thing.... If your hair is getting dry, though, try moisturizing shampoo and conditioner if you can't skip days.

I have to wash my hair everyday because if I don't then it gets very greasy. Actually, but the end of the day it looks that way. But this is for me. If your hair doesn't get greasy easy then I don't recommend washing it everday. Every other day, or every two days, depending.

it depends on your hair. ask your stylist. mine said that no i shouldn't because the natural oils in my hair are enough... they don't need to be ruined.

Instead of shampooing your hair every day, try rinsing it out in the shower and then just using conditioner. The conditioner keeps it from getting oily roots, and makes it smell nice without stripping the oil and drying out your hair. An inexpensive, light conditioner is fine.

no it does't bother the hair wash every day i have done that for over 30 years or more. you an use wash out cream rinses and you acn recontructors once a month or so there i sno prolbme.

It is NOT bad to wash your hair everyday. Please do not let anyone tell you it is. Everyone is different. I wash my hair everyday because I have naturally curly hair and when I get up in the morning it is out of control, not to mention that I take a shower everyday and I would not feel clean if I did not wash my hair. Just make sure you are using a gentle shampoo and conditioner, not one for kids, just a good daily shampoo and keep up on the trims. Some people can go for a few days without washing, but it is not bad to wash everyday.

Its bad because it strips your hair of it's natural oils, making it dry and brittle. If you MUST wash it every day, I would use a moisturizing shampoo,. I like Paul Mitchell's moisturizing shampoo and Supercharged moisturizing conditioner. Redkens' moisturizing shampoo is good too. Joico is good. You could also treat your hair weekly with a moisturizing treatment, or use Olive oil. Leave the oil in overnight and rinse in the morning
