What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown h

These are 4 kids born to the same parents and all within 6 years of age.

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

The childrens genes are more predominant on the mothers side... Those genes are within the females X chromosome

But not always

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

not sure, genes are a tricky thing. If it helps, my brother in law and his wife have 2 redheads, his wife has redhair and he has brown hair.

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

Very high. Red is the most dominant gene, blonde is second, brown is third. Depending on your parents and her parents you may be more likely to have a blonde child than a brunette.

Sure, happened to my aunt and uncle. 4 kids, all redheads except the first born, they teased him that he was adopted. Mom was blond, but had red hair when she was little. Dad has brown hair.

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

Yeah, it really depends on which gene is dominant and what recessive genes the parents have. The chances are different depending on the genetic make-up of the parents.

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

I don't know if it's as easy as straight Mendel genetics, but if it was then mom would be recessive recessive (red, red) and dad would be dominant recessive (brown, red). The traights would be chosen randomly so each child would have a 50% chance to get double recessive. So 1/2 times 1/2 times 1/2 times 1/2 =1/16.

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

Obviously 4 out of 4! I bet they are beautiful!

What are the chances of 4 out of 4 kids having copper red hair like their mom if the dad has brown hair?

actually brown is more dominant than red, blonde is even more dominant than red. my mother is a red head and my father's brown hair was nearly black. I have brown hair with red and blonde highlights and my sister is totally blonde from my grandmother.

sometimes it is just the luck of the draw. my grandfather had carrot red hair and my grandmother had white blonde hair, both natural. 3 kids had blonde, 1 red, 2 brown, so it really depends. Also red hair may look nice but it is actually a gene mutation just like green eyes, people with red hair are generally fair skinned and have to be careful with the sunlight as they burn easily.

i know you're asking about a mother with red hair and a father with brown, but for me it's the opposite. i have brown and my husband has red and our first child is a dark strawberry blond and our second child is brown with red highlights. my husband is the last male in his family line with red hair and his norwegian grandma could just about kill me for mixin' in the brown.
