my 12 year old sisters first dance is coming up what is in style for her age group im 18 i dont know whats in style for lil kids these days. what hair styles are in style for them and what kind of out fits would they wear i know they dont like to dress up that much so plz help me i need all the help i can get and plz say something useful. Wear some nice clothes but accessorize with a classy mask. Something you might see a Mardi Gras for example. This way if no one else is wearing a costume, it is easily removed. But if there are costumes, the classiness of the Mardi Gras type mask will set her apart.
Also advise her on watching out for the handsy boys. Literally hold a pillow or something so she can practice knee strikes.

Tell her not to wear really high heels, I remember going to a dance and there were some girls who thought they were really cool because they were wearing heals, and everyone just made fun of them.
I'd tell her not to wear a mini skirt if I were you, I don't know if she's into that, but if she wants to dance, she might get sick of having to pull it down.
Tell her to put her hair down, but put her bangs (if she has them) up with a clip, and to make it kind of poofy, if you have any idea what I mean!!

wearing hair down is always in style for any age and she should be opened to dance the way she feels like .... make sure to tell her to have a great time with her friends!
