By the way I am 18 and the job is a program that works with helping disadvantaged kids.
I am planning on going to my first job interview. I am lost about what to wear and how to do my hair. Ideas?
wear something that shows a hint of your personality without giving it all away. for your hair, wear it in a bun or plait if that is what you feel most comfortable in. clothes, try a smart but casual suit, not to formal but not too off the street if you get my drift. if you wear what you feel comfortable in, you probably wont be afraid to be yourself, and you wont spend the interview being somebody you arent. you might not be as nervous if you show a bit of your personality and the employer can find out a bit more about you.

Id say either a dress suit. or dress pants and a nice button down shirt. and dressy but comfy shoes. and for the hair something simple id go with leaving it down. just make it look neat and presentable.

I would reccomend looking professional but not stuffy.
Wear slacks and a nice shirt perhaps. Something like:

Advice for the hair is along the same lines. Make sure it looks nice, but dont over do it.
Good luck with your interview. (Dont forget to smile, make eye contact and shake hands)

When your talking about a job working with kids you need to keep in mind no tight clothes. Comfy slacks and a slightly loose fitting top or sweater would be perfect. Pull your hair up because otherwise depending on the age of the kids it is fun to pull.

I would wear, dress pants or skirt, shirt with a jacket, and dress shoes. your hair should be worn down, in a pony may seem juvenile.
The important things to remember is to wear your best clothes, church clothes is you have them. Smile and shake the bosse's hand. Tell them you love children, you care about people and if you could help make a childs life a little easier you would.

The most important thing is to look professional and be comfortable at the same time. Your best bet would probably be dark-colored dress pants, solid or pin-striped, with a solid color button down shirt or simple sweater. For shoes, try classic black pumps or loafers, basically anything that looks nice but is comfortable. You can have your hair down if it looks neat, otherwise I would suggest a nice bun. Obviously, keep make-up and jewelry to bare minimums and don't wear perfume! The key is don't overdo it- you want them to focus on what you're saying, not what you're wearing.

I would suggest that you dress very professional. Wear a business suit in a dark color like black or navy blue, dark heels and wear very little makeup if you wear any at all. You could wear your hair back in a pony tail, a bun or just straight down. Wear small earrings too. Don't show any tattoos, piercings or anything that will make the interviewer judge you. The more business-like you look, the better. Also, bring a folder that has plenty of copies of your resume in it.

Wear a smile first and foremost.
Your clothes will reflect how seriously you take the job, how much you respect them, and how responsible you will be with children.
But above all, wear something that you will feel comfortable working in. You are setting a standard to which the employers will expect you to be wearing the rest of the year.

Dark trousers and button down shirt. Wear hair back in ponytail and/or make it very tidy.

Congrats on the job interview...I learned my senior year in high school the best thing to wear on a job interview is a white or pastel button up shirt and black bottoms such as black skirt with nylons or slacks. Your hair should be away from your face I suggest wearing it up. No outrageous finger polish on your finger nails and don't wear an over whelming amount of perfume. The best advice is not wear something too fancy and something that makes you look desperate. I hope this helps in some way. Good luck!
